To celebrate World Youth Skills Day, on this 15th July we would like to highlight the accomplishments and inspiration of our “Advertising marketing and Media Strategist” course attendees below. The World Youth Skills Day has been celebrated yearly since 2014 after the United Nations General Assembly declared it to further highlight the importance of investing in our youth and their skills to achieve employment opportunities, decent work and support for entrepreneurship.
What are some skills you would like to develop or improve on? How can you utilize your skills to become an agent of change and better our world?

The United Nations has always recognized and supported the passion, imagination, and innovation of young people, acknowledging their crucial role in the development and betterment of societies worldwide. Throughout history, youth have been a powerful force for change, and today they face numerous challenges, including violence, injustice, unemployment, and the climate crisis.
To become effective agents of change, we must provide our youth with opportunities to learn and grow, whether through formal education or informal training. These opportunities equip them with invaluable skills needed to thrive in today’s job market. This principle is encapsulated in SDG 4: Quality Education, which commits to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” Essential skills for youth to excel in the 21st century include problem-solving, social skills, communication skills, information literacy, media literacy, and critical thinking.
As UN Secretary-General António Guterres aptly stated, “Today, and every day, let’s work to transform education. And let’s ensure that youth have what they need to build skills for shaping a more peaceful, sustainable future for all.”
This training was organized within the framework of the ReLOaD2 project funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in BiH (UNDP BiH). The goal of organizing various trainings within the ReLOaD2 project is to strengthen the capacity of young people and develop their skills.
