On Thursday, November 9, 2023, the Final Conference of the EkoNamBihać project was held in Bihać, which the LAN Association is implementing from June to November this year.
All participants and partners of the project gathered at the conference and jointly summarized the achieved results, achievements and conclusions and presented the lessons learned. Everyone agreed that the children who participated in the project improved their knowledge and skills and increased their sensitivity about sustainable development, environmental protection and limited natural resources.
More than 100 children from four preschool groups actively participated in the project and acquired new knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of sustainable development. The final conference was an opportunity for the participants to exchange experiences, discuss the challenges they encountered during the implementation of the project and emphasize the importance of mutual cooperation. All the activities of the project were also presented, and the conference participants watched two videos that were created during the duration of the project.
The importance of projects that promote sustainable development and the development of sensitivity and understanding of preschool children for the importance of preserving and protecting natural resources, through promoting behavior, skills, attitudes and habits focused on the values of education for sustainable development, is emphasized.
At the very end, the Lan Association thanked the partners in the EkoNamBihać project, the kindergarten “Bihać”, private preschool institutions Filii and Pinokio, donors and all those who helped in the quality implementation of project activities.
The project is implemented within the framework of the Regional Program of Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 (ReLOaD2), financed by the European Union (EU), and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The project is co-financed by the City of Bihać.
