Online consultation ‘’Hear our voice ! Young people at the Summit of the Future’’

UNDP4Youth is launching the online consultation ‘’Hear our voice ! Young people at the Summit of the Future’ on UNDP Sparkblue platform.

Why does it matter?
Young people’s innovative ideas and bold actions are vital to accelerate SDG implementation. This online consultation aims to gather and consolidate inputs from young people worldwide, feeding these insights directly into key events such as the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2024, the HLPF, and the Summit of the Future’s consultation process. It will also feed into the Voices of Youth Report and the global youth policy paper on Summit of the Future.

When:
The consultation is live now and will run from March 4-22, 2024.

Who’s Organizing:
This global initiative is organized by a coalition of UN entities (UNDP, UNFPA, UNYO, DESA, UNESCO, UN Women, OHCHR, UNAIDS), youth partners (Major Group for Children and Youth – MGCY, the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisations – ICMYO, SPI Youth Platform, Sendai Children and Youth Stakeholders Group, Global Youth Caucus on SDG16, SDG 7 Youth Constituency, Summit of the Future Youth Focus Group and others) and CSO (UN Foundation).

Why You Should Join:
We’re inviting young people worldwide to participate and add their voices to this vital conversation. Whether you’re an adolescent or a young person under 35, your input is crucial! So, create a SparkBlue profile, add your photo and join the conversation!

Key Themes: The consultation will revolve around five essential themes outlined in the Pact for the Future:

  1. 🌴 Sustainable Development and Financing for Development
  2. 🕊International Peace and Security
  3. 🔬 Science, Technology and Innovation, and Digital Cooperation
  4. 👩👦👦 Youth and Future Generations
  5. 🌐 Transforming Global Governance

How It Works:
Participants will engage in discussions across five themed rooms, each moderated by one UN representative and two youth moderators. Guiding questions will facilitate the conversation, and there’s even a community lounge where participants can introduce themselves, ask questions, and connect with others
